Common Next Steps
Delivery & Logistics
Do you deliver containers across Texas?
LC Container has a standard 200-mile delivery radius from our yard in Hutchins, TX, covering the full DFW Metroplex and most of Texas. Deliveries outside that radius are available by custom request.
Call us to confirm availability for your ZIP code and get a route-scoped timing estimate.
How quickly can I get a container delivered in DFW?
DFW orders placed before the daily dispatch cutoff may qualify for same-day placement, depending on route load and site access. Standard DFW deliveries typically schedule within 24–48 hours.
Call dispatch to confirm available windows for your ZIP and site conditions.
What is your same-day delivery cutoff time?
Cutoff varies by route and current dispatch load. Calling before 10 AM gives you the best chance at same-day scheduling. We confirm availability based on your ZIP and site readiness at the time of booking.
What site prep is needed before delivery?
The delivery area should be level, accessible by a tilt-bed truck, and clear of overhead obstructions (power lines, tree branches) and ground obstacles. A compacted gravel or concrete base is recommended for long-term placement.
LC Container provides site-prep guidance before dispatch to prevent day-of delays. See our Delivery Prep page for a full checklist.
Can you place the container in a specific spot on my property?
Yes. Our drivers work to achieve precise placement using tilt-bed delivery equipment. Share your preferred orientation and placement target when booking. We confirm access and door-swing assumptions before arrival to avoid repositioning on the day of delivery.
Container Sizing
What container sizes do you carry?
We stock 10ft, 20ft, 40ft, and high cube (HC) variants in multiple condition grades. Availability varies by season and demand.
Call or submit a quote request to confirm current inventory for your preferred size and condition.
What is the difference between a standard and high cube container?
Standard containers are 8′6″ tall on the exterior, with roughly 7′10″ of interior clearance. High cube (HC) containers are 9′6″ tall — one foot of extra interior height.
High cube units are popular for office and workshop conversions where HVAC, lighting, and interior wall finishing consume overhead clearance. Both share the same floor footprint and door configuration.
How do I choose between a 20ft and 40ft container?
A 20ft container provides approximately 1,165 cubic feet of space and fits most residential lots, driveways, and tight job sites. A 40ft offers around 2,350 cubic feet and suits larger construction sites, commercial storage, or full conversion builds.
Use our size comparison page to visualize both options, or call to discuss your specific use case.
Condition & Pricing
What is the difference between one-trip and used WWT containers?
One-trip containers made a single overseas voyage and are nearly new — minimal wear, clean interiors, and fresh factory paint. They are ideal for conversions or any application where appearance matters.
Used WWT (wind and water tight) containers are inspected and structurally sound but will show cosmetic wear including dents, surface rust, and repainted panels. They are value-priced and appropriate for straightforward storage needs.
What condition are the containers in when delivered?
Every container is inspected for structural integrity, door seal function, and weather tightness before delivery. Used units may have cosmetic imperfections — this is normal and does not affect performance. One-trip units show minimal cosmetic wear.
If you have specific condition requirements (floor type, interior cleanliness, paint color), let us know at time of quote.
Rentals
What are your rental terms?
LC Container offers month-to-month and longer-term rental agreements. Minimum rental periods and rates vary by container size. Call or submit a quote request to get current pricing and available inventory for your project timeline.
What is included in a container rental?
Rental includes delivery, placement, and pickup at the end of your term. The container remains our property throughout. Standard rentals do not include modifications — contact us if you need a modified rental unit for your project.
Can I convert a rental into a purchase?
Yes, in many cases rental containers can be converted to a purchase. Call to discuss your unit and rental history — we can often apply a portion of paid rent toward the purchase price on qualifying units.
Modifications
Can LC Container build custom office and workshop containers?
Yes. We complete custom modification projects including personnel doors, windows, spray foam insulation, mini-split HVAC, electrical panels, interior lighting, paint, and security upgrades.
Projects are scoped individually. Submit a quote request or call with your use case and target completion date to start the conversation.
What modification options are available?
Available modifications include: personnel doors (standard and steel security), roll-up doors, windows (fixed and sliding), spray foam or batt insulation, mini-split HVAC, electrical service and lighting, exterior paint, interior wall finishing, shelving, and lockbox additions.
Combinations are common for office, workshop, and pop-up retail builds. See our Modifications page for full details.
